The reason for so many unwanted E-Mails is that your address is freely accessible on the Internet. This applies to Forums, Newsgroups and in particular to Websites. Easily accessible E-Mail addresses are extracted by a multiplicity of search programmes (Harvesters, Spiders) from HTML pages and abused for mass-mailings (Spamming).

• Graphic Link? No solution!
  An E-Mail address in the source code is also vunerable. Robots are now able to read graphics using OCR (Optical Character Recognition).
• Masking? No solution!
  Now and then a dissolution of the characters in the hexadecimal code or HTML Entities is recommended. This appears to Harvesters as plain text and therefore very doubtful.

Result: Your mail box is still full of rubbish/trash!
